NEoN Digital Arts
NEoN Digital Arts (SCIO) charitable aims are to advance the understanding and accessibility of digital and technology-driven art forms. Delivering these aims in Dundee, Scotland, NEoN utilises many platforms, including festivals, exhibitions, workshops, talks, conferences, live performances, and public discussions. NEoN has never had a permanent exhibition venue, so for 14 years, it has worked with other venues across the city to deliver its programme. Venues have included a local swimming pool, shopping centres, shop windows, cafes, libraries and many outdoor spaces.
NEoN believes that contemporary culture is linked to digital technology in profound ways, and through a collaborative programme, greater critical understanding, learning and accessibility of digital art can be fostered. Therefore, NEoN nurtures and presents a collaborative programme of digital art that enables a greater critical understanding of the contemporary culture within the context of today’s technology-driven society through an exploratory and accessible arts programme.
